Minolia private beta
See a sample buyer report
Fictional example figures show how Minolia helps you move from an asking price to a checked deal. This is not a live valuation, offer or reviewed real contract.
1. Understand the asking price
Example asking price: $32,000. Example market estimate: $31,000.
The asking price is $1,000 above the estimate. The example negotiating target is $30,250 and the walk-away limit is $31,450. These figures guide the discussion; they do not establish vehicle condition or guarantee a dealer will accept an offer.
2. Check the complete offer
- Agreed vehicle price
- $29,500
- Dealer fees
- $500
- Add-ons / products
- $750
- Effective dealer offer
- $30,750
- Sales tax
- $2,000
- Government fees
- $250
- Out-the-door total
- $33,000
The effective dealer offer is above the target but below the walk-away limit. Tax and government charges are included in the total cost and kept separate when evaluating the dealer’s price.
3. Compare the final paperwork
With $3,000 down, a $10,000 trade value and a $12,000 trade payoff, this example finances $32,000. At 6% APR for 60 months, the estimated payment is $619 per month.
- Clear: the reviewed figures and checked terms are consistent. This does not verify the vehicle’s condition or every provision of a real contract.
- Review: an amount, payment method or contract provision still needs confirmation.
- Stop: a material price change, VIN mismatch or other identified issue needs resolution before signing.
If the paperwork changed the vehicle price from $29,500 to $29,600, Minolia would flag that difference against the agreed deal.
